Wow! That sucks!

And to make a bad joke... notice blizzard releases this authenticator and then there is a bunch of accounts that get hacked... seems like they want you to buy it no?

Yeah, I am not going to go there... lol. Probably just some kids getting the final kicks before many people get these.

That gadget annoys me no end. There are many means of tightening up logon security without having to resort to an external device. Isn't there something strange about a game that has more security than a banking site?

Seems to me that Blizzard is resorting to this in order to be able to charge their customer for the security measures they should have implemented long ago

No doubt the whole account stealing thing as well as the market for virtual gold is just crazy. It is unfortunate there is even a market for this stuff however for basically 6 bucks and free shipping I have to give Kudos to Blizzard. I would bet if my bank did this I would be paying at least $6 per month just to use the feature. Don't think Bank logins don't get hacked because they do, the difference is once you are in someone's account there is not much you can do to make money. WOW hacked accounts apparently allow someone to make a decent amount of money in very little time.

I would think Blizzard is the first MMO to use this kind of account security and I find it commendable and definitely trendsetting.
